I was in Michigan for work this week and arrived in my parent’s corner of the Mitten yesterday afternoon just as the snow was starting to not play nice. I haven’t driven in snow for at least 4 years and I forgot what true lake effect snow looks like- thick, heavy, tons of it. Needless to say, I was super happy to arrive safely.

And when 15 inches of snow are coming down outside, it’s really nice to be inside with this:

28. Chicago Landmarks. There is so much beauty in this city that we get to see/live in every day.

29. Suzanne Conrad’s igolu. I use the “Above the Line/Below the Line” work almost every day.

30. Busy weeks. Both Ryan and I had our heads spinning by the end of last week but we are so lucky to both have jobs that keep us busy. Being employed is always nice.

31. Beyonce.

32. My makeup guy Stephen. You guys, Stephen at NARS is the business. I’ve gotten to know him in the last several months and spending time with him yesterday while he glammed me up for an event made my week. I love nice people.

33. Dancing.

34. Ordering In. Baby, it’s cold outside.

I don’t care about the NFL.

Not a smidgen.

You know that insurance commercial with Aaron Rodgers telling a classroom of kids that he plays football for a living and a little girl replies “That’s not a job.”? Exactly how I feel.

But there’s somebody that lives in this house who loves pro-football and since the Ravens are his team, I wanted to do something to show some purple love so I picked up every purple item I could find at Walgreens. Also, it turns out that Whole Foods carries Flying Dog, a Maryland micro-brewed beer. They have a cool bet going with a San Fran brewery and the beer is actually awesome so now I like 2 things about Baltimore (crab cakes will always be #1).

Now, all we need is the Ravens to win and Queen B to kill it at half-time and we’ll both be happy.
