I don’t think there’s anything I love more than having people I love around my table.
Last night, I threw a surprise birthday dinner party for my dear friend Kate. She brings so much good to so many peoples lives that celebrating her was truly a blessing. The surprise was surprisingly successful and we spent hours around the table and in front of the fireplace passing bread, drinking wine, eating cake, sharing stories, talking about faith, Thanksgiving and what we want for the future. Sure, I was thrilled the food came out well and it felt so good to entertain for the first time in our new home but what has me so full today is my intense gratitude for having such lovely people in my life.
Full to the brim with gratitude- I cannot think of a better way to kick off the holiday season.
