Royal Jelly

adminUncategorized%s Comments

I have heard that Queen bees and worker bees are born the same. Queen bees, however, live exclusively on royal jelly- a bee secretion rich in proteins, sugars, amino acids, etc. As a result, the Queen bee lives 70 times longer than the average worker bee.  AND she gets to be Queen.

Royal jelly, look into it.

Royal jelly is amazing – BUT the dark side is that – to extract it for human consumption – it forces bees to very unnaturally produce many pounds of it. Royal jelly ‘farmers’ stop by daily to suck out what the bees have labored to give to each queen larvae using tiny vacuum syringes – which the slaving-away workers feel compelled to refill again and again. So, while it is a super duper food, my 2 cents are to put less stress on the bees, and gather/buy propolis – which is not as hard on the bees and has wonderful properties too.
